Our History
New Empire Antiquities was established in 1999 by Ernest Miner
and is
dedicated to providing customers with quality pieces of history
they can display, cherish, and even wear.
Every effort is made to provide a variety of ancient artifacts
to suit all
areas of collecting.
Born in Naples, Italy, and raised there until the age of ten,
Mr. Miner
spent many inquisitive and wondrous days exploring the ancient
ruins of Pompeii,
Herculaneum and other Roman sites in the area. This was the
catalyst
for his life-long love affair with the ancient world, which
has since become
such an important part of his life.
Ernest's love for collecting artifacts from many diverse cultures
has
resulted in an extensive reference library comprised of current
as well as rare
books, and is always growing. As a registered member of the
American
Numismatics Association, New Empire strictly abides by its code
of ethics
in its business practice. Mr. Miner is an associate member of
The Metropolitan
Museum of Art, (Member# 18764).
